dog training club

                                Bankhouse Barkers Dog Club

We're a Leeds based dog agility training club.

Our training venue is in New Farnley, LS12 5HY.

Our aim is to provide quality training locally.

Our ethos is to promote modern progressive reward based, force free training.

We actively encourage utilising food, toys and play as rewards and motivation in all our training sessions.

We welcome dogs of all breeds and ages and handlers from beginners right through to advanced competing members.

Our aim is to train all members with a view to competing.By doing this we feel that we're providing the safest and most effective agility training. So whether its your intention to eventually compete in agility or you simply want to train to have fun with your dog, you can be assured that our training methods are up date and in line with the latest training methodology.

As a club we require all dogs/handlers to first complete a Foundation Course before then moving into a beginners group. Our Foundation Skills Course is an extremely useful 6 session training course that combines games and exercises to help build a reliable recall, loose lead walking, games to develop a reward based training reward system and so much more. Its a real relationship building course for handler and dog.

Since we implemented our policy of the foundation skills course being mandatory for all new member's, we've found that dogs and handlers progress more quickly with their agility training.

Anyone considering beginning agility training with their dogs needs to be aware that it requires a lot of time, patience and dedication, though its certainly worthwhile and will help to further enhance your relationship with your dog.
